YOUTH
RELATIONSHIP CENTERED
Relationships are at the heart of our ministry with youth. Relationships with each other, with the full community of faith, and with God. As an intergenerational congregation, youth are welcome and valued in all that we do, not simply in programs with "youth" in the title. Youth regularly assist in leading worship, participate in music groups, add their voices to discussion groups, and provide mentorship in Kids' Worship.
COME AS YOU ARE
Our goal is for youth to feel safe and supported by the full community of faith as they navigate through their teen years. At Riviera, youth in 6th through 12th grades worship, have opportunities to ask hard questions that help them grow in their faith, participate in mission and outreach, and have a whole lot of fun along the way. We know there is no "one size fit all" approach to youth ministry, so programs change to meet the needs and interests of the youth participating. This flexible approach and our intergenerational philosophy mean all youth have a voice in helping to shape current youth programs.
