Our Mission

Our mission is to help our young people grow toward mature Christian adulthood, "...for we want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ." (Col. 1:28)

Weekly Activities

Sunday Morning

On Sunday mornings, we gather and sit together in the 10 a.m. worship service. Our youth regularly participate as acolytes, readers, ushers and musicians. The Riviera Youth Music Ensemble (RYME) rehearses weekly after church from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon, except on the second Sunday of the month. On that Sunday RYME performs in the service.

Sunday Evening: Sunday Night Live

All youth 5th - 12th grade are welcome each Sunday evening.

• 5 p.m. Riviera Methodettes Dance Rehearsal (Sanctuary)
• 5 p.m. All-youth Games (Fellowship Hall)
• 6 p.m. Youth Dinner (Fellowship Hall)
• 6:30-8:15 p.m. Youth Groups Meet (Youth Lounges)

Sierra Service Project Car Wash a Huge Success

Our SSP car wash February 11th at Osborn's was a big success. Thank you to all who came and helped make it a great day. The day started out cloudy, and it started sprinkling — not exactly a good start to a car wash! But, as the day continued, more youth arrived to help, parents pitched in, friends came by, and church members arrived. The day got brighter!! In total we raised about $950. Thank you!

Our youth did an awesome job, and worked really hard washing cars and being ambassadors of our church. So, above and beyond supporting our mission — SSP — this event demonstrated the faithful spirit and fellowship of our youth.
