Our Mission

Our mission is to help our young people grow toward mature Christian adulthood, "...for we want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ." (Col. 1:28)

Weekly Activities

Sunday Morning

On Sunday mornings, we gather and sit together in the 10 a.m. worship service. Our youth regularly participate as acolytes, readers, ushers and musicians. The Riviera Youth Music Ensemble (RYME) rehearses weekly after church from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon, except on the second Sunday of the month. On that Sunday RYME performs in the service.

Sunday Evening: Sunday Night Live

All youth 5th - 12th grade are welcome each Sunday evening.

• 5 p.m. Riviera Methodettes Dance Rehearsal (Sanctuary)
• 5 p.m. All-youth Games (Fellowship Hall)
• 6 p.m. Youth Dinner (Fellowship Hall)
• 6:30-8:15 p.m. Youth Groups Meet (Youth Lounges)

Cake Walk "Thank You!"

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first annual All-Church SSP Cake Walk and Ice Cream Social a sweet success! We raised $550 toward our youth summer mission trip and had a sugar rush, too. Special thanks go to the UMW and the other cake bakers who worked so hard to make sure we had scrumptious cakes to give away.
